From drawings to commercial confidence.
Measure on the drawing, price with the rate’s evidence beside it, and see exactly what each new revision moves. Every figure in the estimate leads back to the outline and the rate behind it.
Everything shown is MEAssure’s own output on a synthetic test drawing, with synthetic rates in USD. No customer data.

Open any figure and walk it back: the total to its quantity and rate, the quantity to its measured outlines, the outlines to the drawing and revision they were measured on.

A drawing arrives
Sheet A-101, revision A, is registered with its file’s SHA-256 and confirmed at 1:100.

Rates with their evidence
A rate is never a bare number. It comes from an authorised library row or a published build-up version, or it is typed with its reason. Each shows where it came from wherever it is used.
Build-up: carpet tile, laid
Another synthetic project: version 1, per m², USD. Material waste is in the use.
| Resource | Use per m² | Rate | Cost per m² |
|---|---|---|---|
| Carpet tile · material | 1.05 m² (1 m² + 5 % waste) | 30.00 | 31.50 |
| Tile adhesive · material | 0.315 kg (0.3 kg + 5 % waste) | 4.00 | 1.26 |
| Floor layer · labour | 1 hr per 6 m² | 40.00 | 6.6667 |
| Tile cutter hire · plant | 1 day per 120 m² | 36.00 | 0.30 |
Direct cost 39.7267 (exactly 119.18 ÷ 3) × 1.10 for 10 % overhead × 1.05 for 5 % profit = 45.8843 exactly, applied at 45.88 (2 places, half up). The guest room’s 11.2007 m² × 45.88 = 513.89.
Quantities you can rely on
How a quantity enters the estimate, and how it is marked.
- From measured outlines and formulas over them, calculated by the engine.
- Typed, when there is nothing to measure: allowed only with its reason, and marked typed everywhere it appears.
- Draft measurements can be priced early to see their effect. They stay marked provisional until reviewed.
- Review and formal issue are separate, recorded steps. The issue is held while any quantity is provisional.
What a revision moves, and what it does not yet
MEAssure pairs the measurements of two issues and proposes the cost movement. It says plainly which parts are approved, which are provisional, and what is not priced at all.
- Approved movementCommitted by the estimator after review, such as the deletion of door D08 and the finish change of room 104.
- Provisional pricingPriced from a measurement still awaiting review (partition P2): shown, never an approved commercial amount.
- Unpriced additionNew door D05 on rev B: listed as unpriced and unresolved, never counted as zero.
- Excluded from scopeThe store, 10.6730 m², excluded with a recorded reason; not priced.
Revision comparison is in Beta. A signed receipt is a record of one estimate at one moment, not an issued estimate package.
